Privacy policy
Most privacy policies are long because the company has a lot to account for. Ours is short because we don't collect anything.
The short version: Vadose apps run on your own device. We don't have accounts, we don't have servers holding your files, and we don't collect, sell, or share your personal information. This website has no analytics, no cookies, and no trackers.
If that's all you wanted to know, you're done. The rest is the detail behind it.
Who we are
Vadose LLC is a California limited liability company. We make software for Apple devices. You can reach us any time at support@vadosehq.com.
Our apps
Every Vadose app is built to run locally, using Apple's on-device intelligence rather than sending your work to a server to be processed. That isn't a policy choice we could quietly reverse — it's how the software is built.
Concretely, for our current apps:
- We don't have your data. What you record, write, import, or calculate stays in the app's own storage on your device.
- There's no account. We don't ask for your name, email, or a password to use the app, so there's no profile of you to keep.
- There's no analytics or telemetry. We don't measure which features you use or when you open the app.
- There's no advertising and no tracking. We don't build advertising profiles, and we don't share anything with data brokers or ad networks — because we don't have anything to share.
Some apps ask permission to use your camera, microphone, location, or motion sensors. When they do, the app tells you why at the moment it asks. That information is used to do the thing you asked for and is written into your own files on your own device. Permission to use your camera is not permission to send us video, and we never receive it.
When you share something yourself
If you export a file or use the share sheet to send something somewhere, that's you moving your own data deliberately. Where it goes next is governed by whatever service or person you sent it to, not by us — we aren't part of that transfer and don't see it.
If an app ever does offer cloud storage
Some of our apps are designed so that optional encrypted cloud backup could be added later. If and when any Vadose app offers that, it will be something you switch on deliberately, the contents will be encrypted so that only you can open them, and this page will be updated to describe exactly what's stored and where before the feature ships. We won't quietly start collecting something this page says we don't.
This website
vadosehq.com has no analytics, no advertising, no cookies, and no third-party trackers. We don't know who you are or that you visited.
The one thing the site stores is your light/dark theme preference, which is kept in your own browser's local storage so the page doesn't flash the wrong colours next time. It never leaves your browser and we never see it.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare's servers process the ordinary technical information needed to deliver a page to you — such as your IP address — and may keep short-lived security and abuse-prevention logs. That's the host operating the infrastructure, not us gathering information about you; we don't receive those logs and we don't use them to identify anyone.
When you email us
If you write to support@vadosehq.com, we'll have your email address and whatever you chose to put in the message, because that's how email works. We use it to answer you and keep it only as long as it's useful for support. We don't add you to a marketing list.
Because our apps keep your files on your device, you should never need to send us anything sensitive to get help. Please don't email us your recordings or records — we don't need them, and we'd rather they stayed with you.
Children
Our apps aren't directed at children, and since we don't collect personal information from anyone, we don't knowingly collect it from children either.
Your rights
Privacy laws in California, the EU, the UK, and elsewhere give you rights to see the personal information a company holds about you, correct it, delete it, or tell it to stop selling your data.
We want to give you a straight answer rather than a page of procedure: we don't hold personal information about you, we have never sold or shared personal information, and we don't have a profile to show you or delete. If you'd like that confirmed in writing, email us and we'll confirm it. If we're ever holding something of yours, you can tell us to delete it and we will.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date below. If a change ever means we start collecting something we don't collect today, we'll say so plainly and make the change before the feature that relies on it ships — not after.
